 Idwala Lounge The name “Idwala” comes from the Zulu word meaning “rock” or “stone". Our guest house is an original farmhouse which was built using natural rock over 100 years ago. This rock has been carried over into our bathrooms, which have natural rock features so that a clever mixture of luxury and nature is evident throughout the guest house.
The rooms are all thatched and tastefully renovated to create a luxurious and comfortable haven set in tranquil indigenous gardens, so that the guest house is now a stylish luxurious home away from home, equipped with the latest technology and conveniently situated in the middle of Johannesburg with magnificent views over the northern suburbs.

In addition to our spacious bedrooms with luxurious en suite bathrooms, we are also able to offer a charming 2 - roomed cottage, with self-catering facilities.
